Chant MIMI DVCA is an addition to other business within the Unicorn Motor Company, carrying out high class car body repairs to modern and classic motors. After successfully completing an apprenticeship as a panel beater with S.E Hamblin Limited of Sherborne, Dorset, Brian started in business in 1969. S.E Hamblin were traditional coachbuilders and sheet metal fabricators.

DVCA in-house services include, classic vehicle appraisals and valuations for marketing & legal purposes, classic car storage, transportation & sales preparation. The company can provide quality photographs of vehicles for sale which are included in the competitive entry fee. With regard to dealing exclusively with historic vehicles and memorabilia DVCA offers a dedicated professional service. In the interests of purchasers the policy of Dorset Vintage and Classic Auctions is to include spare parts when a vehicle is entered in a sale and they will be included in the same lot.

For seven years Brian was competition secretary for the Alvis Owner Club and Alvis cars have always featured high in his interest. With this vast experience he is often required to be a Concours judge. Started racing vintage and classic cars in 1971, Brian achieved most success with the 4.3 litre Alvis 'Brutus' in the UK and the Isle of Man. Brian is also a valued and enthusiastic member of the Aston Martin Owners Club, Bentley Drivers Club, Vintage Sports Car Club, Morris Minor Owners Club, and Yeovil Car Club. A 1954 Bentley R-Type Sports Saloon, is his pride and joy with a daily driver being one of the last iconic Land Rover Defender XS 110 Station Wagons.
