Description

W -Reg (2000) Skoda Fabia MPi - 1.4 8v (chain cam engine)

152K miles with MOT until July 2021 having just had the following done to pass the MOT:

New disks & pads & a brake hose at the front, new track rod end, new anti roll bar link, 2 replacement tyres and 2 new wipers (mostly consumable items).

Just serviced (July 2020) with 10w40 semi-synthetic oil, new oil filter and rocker cover gasket spark plugs and air filter.

Other work carried out in the last 5 years by the previous owner included replacement gearbox (2015) alternator (2018) & water pump (2019), but aside from these more major parts, its been consumable items. The last owner covered over 50k miles with no major issues. The battery is relatively new and front tyres have plenty of tread. It comes with this history (previous MOTs and records of work done from 2015) and 2 sets of 2 keys.

Faults include rear washer broken (hole in the connecting pipe from the reservoir in the front bumper, although the pump works), minor cosmetic damage to bodywork and water staining to the seats. The service indicator warning is also on as my OBD2 connector has broken and I cant reset it.

The Monitor and repair if necessary (Advisories) on the MOT that it has just passed were for a light misting of oil to the front shock absorbers, and some wear to the offside front suspension bush.

The engine is Skodas own 68hp 8 valve powerplant, it has an unburstable reputation, as it uses pushrods to operate the valves with the push rods being operated by a short chain, so no belt changes to worry about!

The car has a CD player, no central locking, manual windows and 2 keys as the drivers door lock has been replaced having previously worn out. The heater works on all settings and it has a full sized spare wheel with a reasonable amount of tread.

While this will win no prizes cosmetically, you can park it anywhere without having to worry about car park dents or scuffs!
