Mathewsons Classic Car Auctions founded in 1970, finally entered into the world of Car Auctions in 2011. The Museum & Showroom premises at Thornton Le-Dale was eventually picked as the perfect venue to hold the classic vehicle sales. The sale operates from a well-know venue with a 300+ walled parking area and is in easy walking distance of the Museum. Thornton Le-Dale is extremely picturesque with the village holding a number of other attractions.

Mathewsons has grown in size offering over 150 vehicles each sale with memorabilia (max 250 lots) starting at 10:00 am before moving onto vehicles at 12pm.

The current objective is to complete the ambitious expansion program at Thornton-Dale. Building commenced in 2015 and there are various alterations and new buildings in the pipeline. When finished the company will boast a fine under cover display of over 80 classic cars and classic motorbikes and a large selection of memorabilia.
