Description

The McLaren MP4-12C is the first ever production car wholly designed and built by McLaren (as opposed to McLaren Automotives), and their first production road car since the legendary McLaren F1, which ended production in 1998.

This particular car is a 2012 chassis number 0777 with the highly desirable touch sensor opening doors. This was replaced in 2013 by a more simplistic and lacklustre button push mechanism. This car also comes with the programmable Intake Sound Generator, easy exit electric seats and Meridian audio equaliser. The engine produced 592hp and with the use of the companys carbon-fibre structure and other lightweight components, achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 455bhp/tonne.

The horsepower of this particular model was increased in 2013 with a software update to 616HP, resulting in a reduced 0-62 mph from a standstill in 3.2 seconds. As this car will undoubtedly be compared to the great McLarens of the past, the top speed was set to an astounding 205 mph.

The car was delivered new by McLaren Automotive in Woking, Surrey, UK in April 2012 and has covered a very respectable average of 1800 miles per year. An ideal amount to keep a modern supercar of this type in top line condition throughout, it now shows just over 14,000 miles on the odometer. This is verified by full service history. The car also benefits from an extednded warranty until July 2021 and a valid MOT until December 2019.

Described by the seller as in excellent condition in all respects, this vehicle is offered complete with a very appropriate and considered registration number complete with the final 3 letters MCL McLaren Automotive. Less than 8% of MP412C models worldwide were delivered in UK Home delivery in RHD and even fewer in the traditional works colours of Volcano Orange. Chassis 0777 is one of only 275 UK cars. By any evaluation this is a exceptionally rare supercar, especially in this specification.
