Vehicles were driven by the six-cylinder - inline engine with overhead valves and the two rigid axles, which were suspended on longitudinal leaf springs. All models were available as a touring car, roadster, sedan or as a convertible.

SA and SD appeared models appeared in 1930. Both had a wheelbase of 2845 mm. The SA was somewhat shorter with 3962 mm, but with a width of 1600 mm and a 2148 cm³ displacement (bore × stroke = 67.5 mm × 100 mm), which delivered 72 bhp (53 kW). The SD was 4013 mm long and only 1511 mm wide. The engine had a smaller cylinder capacity of 1991 cm³ (bore × stroke = 65 mm × 100 mm).

With its larger width and more powerful engine, the SA was more comfortable, while the narrower, more compact SD was more sporty and could be driven in the then popular 16 hp or two-biplane class. Both engines had three SU carburettors. The top speed of the cars was 136 km / h.

1931 both models were replaced with TB and SE . Their chassis had a larger wheelbase with 3010 mm and the vehicle length had grown to 4115 mm. The TB was equipped with the larger engine than the SA, which only had a single Zenith carburettor.

From 1932 Alvis tried to re-position itself with new six-cylinder models. The Speed 20 was slightly longer and sportier.

After the two new larger models had become established, Alvis again offered a model Silver Eagle in 1934. The model SF took the wheelbase and engine from the TB. However, the length was increased to 4255 mm and width to 1588 mm, the engine was again fed by three SU carburetors. The top speed was now 120 km / h.

Mid-1935, the SF has been replaced with the SG . The body was the same, but the engine had now 110 mm stroke, resulting in a displacement of 2362 cm³. This engine had 66 bhp (48.5 kW) at 4200 rpm. It still remained with the three SU carburettors. Even the top speed remained unchanged.

In 1936 the series was finally replaced with the Silvercrest.
