BSA Motorcycles A65t Thunderbolt 1970

This classic was designed as the ultimate tourer.
With its traditional 650cc air cooled twin cylinder engine it did not have the amount of vibration that the earlier BSA twins suffered from. It is fitted with the same full race camshaft found in the BSA Lightning and has a full width twin leading shoe front brake.
The demise of these bikes were the emerging Japanese motorcycles such as the Honda CB750 which meant production of these bikes stopped in 1972.
This bike was originally sourced in Texas and is very original with low miles. It was then shipped back to the UK where it underwent a complete restoration by Mr D. Jenner of Sports Classic Spares. All major engine components are still standard size and well within both factory and his exacting tolerances. It literally starts and runs just like a new bike.
