Wilbur Gunn introduced his first "proper" small car, the 1099 cc "inlet over exhaust" engined 11.1 model in 1913.

This grew into the 1420 cc 11.9 in 1920 and finally evolved into the 12 hp in 1924. It is thought that around 7,000 of this range of small Lagondas were built over the 12 or so years of its life and that probably only 25 to 30 of them survive so this is a very rare motor car.

According to the Automobile, in 1952 famous vintage car enthusiast and Bugattiste Hamish Moffat drove a 12/24 the 12,500 miles from his home in England to Cape Town in six weeks.
