The Norton 16H model range consisted of two sturdy and beautifully finished side valve three speed bikes (model 16/17) and the 633cc ‘big 4’.

Models 16 and 16H were made for the English home market and a heavier version (the 17C) was made for Colonial use. The 16H engine (with dimensions of 79 x 100mm) had a remarkable production run of no less than 45 years.

This particular machine has the usual Sturmey Archer 3-speed hand change gearbox, Brown and Barlow carburettor, Drum brakes, full acetylene lighting bulb horn and original sidecar, all running on beaded-edge 26 x 3 tyres.
