UAZ 3160
UAZ-3160 - four-wheel drive road vehicle ( suv ) for use on all types of roads and over rough terrain.
History
Development of the new SUV was launched in 1980. Model index 3160 received an upgraded chassis and new body, designed with the help of engineers AvtoVAZ . The main problem was to maintain the five-door body on a short wheelbase, the corresponding three-door body of most world automakers.
The resulting car is different from the models produced higher level of comfort and improved technical and economic performance. Better paint finishes, sunroof, modern lighting, "kengurin" thresholds, radial tires, excellent review, modern instrument panel, interior execution is configured similarly to modern passenger cars.
However, problems with the stability and controllability of the car caused the need for improvements, as a result of a new model UAZ-3162 "Simbir" , which became longer and had new bridges.
