Zundapp was founded in WW1 to manufacture armaments producing a Levis powered 2 stroke as their first motorcycle in 1921.

In 1924 Zundapp began making its own engines, selling more than 10,000 machines that year.

In 1933 Zundapp introduced the first of the horizontally opposed four stroke twins that they are best remembered for. The initial 398cc and 496cc side-valve ‘K ‘models were followed in 1936 by the overhead valve KS 500.

This lovely K500 was purchased from Belgium in 2009 and has been restored at some previous stage of its life.
