Rare opportunity to acquire one of only a very few remaining 9 Biarritz Saloons, even rarer being a Pre Jan 1931 'Vintage' example on a Mk IV chassis.
Sadly the car lost its original registration number around 2000 when the car was sold to Ireland where it was the 2003 Gordon Bennett Centenary Rally winner.
Following the car's return to the UK it was issued with an age related number.
The car has a beautifully trimmed interior which has had minimal use over the last 30+ years resulting in a beautifully aged but minimal wear. Overall the car is in very nice usable condition. Perfect for Rallies the car has been used on many VSCC Light Car Tours, driving tests and general road use in my ownership currently having a VSCC Buff form as 'Standard' though any new owner would need to apply for their own.
Unlike the more common Monaco Saloon the Biarritz has a sleeker more sporty feel and is a pleasure to drive feeling more modern than 1929!
The car comes with spare Silent 3rd Gearbox (possibly cars original?), cylinder head, Magneto (not tested though apparently working) & dynamo (broken but repairable mounting flange) together with other trim bits from its rebuild.
Reluctantly I've decided the car needs a new custodian due to lack of use and too many other commitments
