MG B GT V8

This original factory MG BGT V8 is one of the very first cars produced. The previous owner had it for over 10 years and had known of the car for a long period before that. I am informed that both he and the car are well known in MG circles.
The car came with a staggeringly detailed history file with the car (it is as thick as a 1970s phone book) which contains invoices going back almost 30 years, MOT certificates dating back to the 80's, when it had done 24000 miles and includes some eye-watering bills together with records of work done by the owners, old tax discs and more.
Some examples of significant work carried out during the last few years:
2016
Repaint engine compartment
Gearbox rebuild
Overdrive unit rebuild
Replace clutch and slave cylinder
Replace complete wiring loom
Upgrade cooling fans
Fit electronic ignition
Replace all brake pipes
Replace radiator, heater matrix and heater hoses
£7712.88
2014
Full bare metal respray
Remove wings and doors, remove all body corrosion
Replace inner and outer sill
Replace all door, tailgate and window seals
£9702.14
2013
Replace front and rear anti-roll bars and bushes
Oil pump cooler and filter
Replace all wheel bearings
Various electrical suspension, ignition and fuel system items as required
New fuel tank, fuel lines, seals and gaskets
£1785.11
…there is much more.
The car comes with British Motor Heritage certificate/factory build sheet.
I can't describe the car as concours but it is very, very presentable and certainly the nicest example I have seen in a long time. The good thing is that it was bought it to use and as such, the money has been spent in all the right areas to give a reliable car for European trips. None of the usual foibles appear to be present - e.g. The diff does not clunk or whine, the gearbox is taut and slick, even from cold, it doesn’t overheat and starts first time from either hot or cold.
I have owned the car since (I think) March 2021 and in all honesty, I have needed to do very little. I replaced the aftermarket steering wheel with an original item, balanced the carburettors and basically gave it a good check over.
If I was being critical -
The original Dunlop wheels would benefit from a refurb
The internal vinyl door cards look slightly tired
The passenger door window scraper seal has torn
The first 3 or 4 inches at the bottom of the passenger side door, on the front edge only shows some signs of bubbling where filler is present.
