Description

When it comes to designing cars, Pininfarina is automotive royalty. The Italian styling and engineering house has applied its name to some of the most beautiful cars ever made, and it has built a few, too.

The Fiat 1500 Cabriolet was one of its first completely in-house projects, designed by the studio and then manufactured at its all-new factory in Grugliasco, near Turin. It came off the back of a commission by Fiat to develop a small sports car off its 1200 and 1500 saloon car models.

This one is an early second-generation car, featuring a grille that extended out to the headlights and a half-length chrome styling strip. Built in late 1963, it had three Italian owners before being imported to the UK in 2014.
