Description
Leading on from the MGA and released in 1962, the MGB Roadster makes use of BMC's B-series engine coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. The MGB would go on to be produced for an impressive 18 years by BMC before being taken over by Austin-Morris. It's easy to see why, the 2-seater, front engine and rear wheel drive format really is exhilarating, especially with the top down on a sunny day.
The MGB would in fact be one of the first vehicles to possess controlled crumple zones, a feature that is used in nearly all modern cars produced today. The Final Edition was MG's last dance with the B Roadster format, only 421 roadster examples were produced for the UK, with bronze paintwork and eye-catching deck chair style upholstery. Final editions in excellent condition are extremely rare to come by these days!
