Description

The Porsche 968 of 1992 built on the strengths of the hugely successful 944. Then as now, its gutsy 240bhp three-litre straight four – in 16-valve form – made for strong performance. And with its near perfect front engine/rear gearbox (transaxle) weight balance, the models handling was, and remains, sure-footed.

Compared to many new sports cars and ‘GTs’, the 968 roadster looks decidedly petite – it will fit it quite a modest garage. There are also a host of specialist garages out there that can look after this car. With its automatic (though quickly selectable) transmission, this example is aimed perhaps at the more ‘touring’ driver, while, best of all; thew roof comes down.
