The Land Rover 90 and 110 were launched in 1984 as replacements to the ubiquitous Series Land Rovers and offered the user a host of useful enhancements and refinements over the, now, rather old-fashioned Series vehicles. The Defender name was only introduced in 1990, however, when the introduction of the Discovery rendered Land Rover a multi-model marque for the first time. Notably improvements included a coil sprung suspension for improved ride and axle articulation, a more modern single piece windscreen, plastic arch extensions to accommodate the wider track and a permanent four-wheel-drive system adopted from the Range Rover.

This example has benefitted from a low owner count all of whom seem to have been enthusiastic and engaged owners. As such a great deal of time and money has been lavished on this example and putting it into a flexible specification that could be enjoyed as is or further developed into a full camper specification.
