Description

Enzo Ferrari used to say that when you bought one of his engines you got the rest of the car for free and that may well be true of the 458s 4,499 cc V8 engine producing 570 PS (419 kW; 562 hp) at 9,000 rpm. It features direct fuel injection, which is a first for Ferrari mid-engine setups in its road cars. In keeping with Ferrari tradition, the body was designed by Pininfarina under the leadership of Donato Coco, the Ferrari design director, however, according to British car magazine Autocar, the 458 Italias design has drawn inspiration from the Ferrari Enzo and its Millechili concept car.

In this case, you get searing performance from a 4.5-litre V8 producing 570 horsepower and revs right round to 9000rpm, teamed up with a dual-clutch 7-speed Getrag gearbox that shifts in the blink of an eye. The 458 was been designed to be Ferraris sportiest V8-engined car, moving a little apart from the more recently launched Ferrari California.

The Ferrari 458 Spider is a car for those who want an ever richer and more evocative everyday driving experience. The 458 Spider was Maranellos first mid-engined convertible with a folding metal roof the worlds first.

The roof is an aluminium arrangement thats actually 25kg lighter than the cloth roof fitted to the F430 Spider, and doesnt compromise the 458s aerodynamics with the roof up, and leaves room behind the cars seats for a small luggage shelf.

First registered in November 2012, this striking 458 Italia Spider was highly specified from new with the Carbon Fibre Racing Package (including seats) and sports exhaust, amongst other options (a full list is available upon request).

The 458 has also benefited from Ferraris extended warranty scheme, which includes a voucher for the next service towards the end of 2019.

Finished in the classic colour scheme of Giallo with a Nero leather interior and Giallo painted brake calipers, and offered with a full Ferrari service history, UK V5, MOT and the relevant service records, this is a fine example of one of Ferraris best efforts of the modern era.
